The Defranceschi group has recently bought out the wine BU of AMOS G.m.b.H.
in Heilbronn, a well-known German company recognized world-wide as a
leading manufacturer of wine-making and fruit processing machinery.
With the addition of the Amos trademark in the wine business, the Defranceschi group is
now able to meet the needs of the entire wine-making industry with its
own products right from the start - from grape receiving to
crushing-destalking, pressing, fermentation, temperature control and
storage.
Design and production of AMOS-brand wine-equipment has been transferred from
Heilbronn to Defranceschi Deutschland G.m.b.H.in Mannheim. The synergy
between Defranceschi's and the now acquired technology will allow
even more improvements to be made in terms of quality and functionality,
rationalization of production of all the machines offered in the
catalogue as well as development of innovative and technologically
advanced machines.
This new venture was officially presented May 2004 in Stuttgart during
the most important German International technology trade fair for wine,
fruit and fruit juice INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA. The first-time presence of
AMOS brand-machines at the splendid Defranceschi stand drew a large
number of visitors and great public interest, marking the success of
this initiative, destined to wed world-renown German quality with
world-famous Italian design.
